Maritimo looking to pull off another upsetMadeira side believe they can match up with FC Porto Having just managed to earn massive victory against Sporting this past weekend, Maritimo will now do battle with another of Portugal's big three in FC Porto, and the Islanders are feeling rather good about their chances.
Maritimo are in the thick of tussling for a European berth and will need all the points they can get to ensure that they achieve their objective, but the challenge remains diffult as they have to go to the Dragao to try and collect more points. According to Claudio Pitbull, Maritimo's recent win has brought about confidence and the challenge ahead contains no more level of difficulty than any other match that Maritimo have had to play this season. "It was an achievement that we deserved, but now we have to work hard and plant out feet on the ground because it will be a difficult match," assessed the former Porto striker. "FC Porto are favourites, everyone knows of their qualities, but we have a great team and a good coach, and because of these factors we can do something good, which is earn the three points, while respecting FC Porto." The Brazilian was quick to downplay the addition of Hulk to the Porto line-up as the forward believes that the Portuguese champions always have adequate solutuons in order to deal with any obstacles they face. "He (Hulk) is a great player, who is one more asset and he was missed at FC Porto, but I believe that we will have a good game.
