Naval threatened with expulsionClub alleged to have falsified documents The Liga has announced that Naval are faced with being thrown out of the championship for allegedly having submitted forged documents citing that the club had their finances in order.
Naval are currently under criminal investigation as the Liga has claimed that the Figueira da Foz side fabricated league reports stating that salaries for all players and coaches have been paid to date and that there were no outstanding payments to be made concerning this. The Liga has not diviluged any other information regarding the charges or how long the investigation will take, but it is believed that Naval are none to happy with the allegations. Naval president Aprigio Santos is said to be furious over the entire incident and claims that the error is on the Liga's behalf as the executive feels that it is a clerical error that has caused the confusion.
