The goals will come - Jorge CostaOlhanense winless in nine matches It hasn't been a warm welcome for Olhanense since they joined the top flight of Portuguese football this season as the Algarve club have only collected 8 points in 10 matches with their only win coming back in September against Academica.
During that stretch of nine winless matches, Olhanense have scored a meagre three goals while suffering twelve. Coach Jorge Costa feels that his players need to be a little calmer when the goal-scoring opportunities arise and adds that the team will find the back of net in no time. "I am convinced that on Friday we will return to scoring goals because we want to win and you can only win when you score goals. Therefore, we ae obligated to score goals," said Costa. "We're anxious to play and, above everything else, hopeful because it hasn't happened for some time - winning the three points." Costa also took time to praise his upcoming opponents and understands that winning against an in-form Guimaraes won't be easy to initiate a winning streak. "They are an adversary who recently changed their coach, who is connected to Olhanense's history. He has coached some good matches and managed to earn postive results. Guimaraes are a team that plays well, are very well organised and should have more than what their current table position indicates." Add your comment |
