"We will fight until exhaustion" - Costa

Olhanense coach wants to turn fortunes around against Benfica

jorge-costa-20090518.jpgLiga minnows Olhanesne have the daunting task of trying to earn a victory against high-fliers Benfica on Saturday and Jorge Costa promises that his side will give everything they have to ensure they register their second win on home soil.

Olhanense have been somewhat disastrous at home this season as the club have only won once and have dropped five matches, not scoring in any of those losses.

The Algarve side are coming off a 5-2 drubbing  to Maritimo last week, but Costa feels that is all part of the past and is looking forward to facing the Lisbon outfit as he would like for his team to use the match as a springboard to establish a winning streak.

Respect

"Motivation is at its maximum," stated the former Porto defender. "Playing against Benfica motivates the players. I hope that it remains at its maximum in terms of confidence. We have everything to gain and nothing to lose. A victory against Benfica would give new life for the rest of the championship."

"It is evident that a team like Benfica deserves respect. We are taking about a candidate for the title and a team who has achieved good results and played good matches since the beginning of the season."

"But we also have our arguments and expect to impose them on the field in order to make Benfica's task difficult. We will fight until exhaustion for the three points."
