Olhanense snap up Lionn
Algarve outfit take first dip into the transfer market
After lengthy negotiations Olhanense have landed their first reinforcement of the winter transfer window. Guimaraes right-back Lionn has been signed on loan until the end of the season.
The defender comes into the squad to make up for the loss of Miguel Garcia, who was sold to Braga.
Lionn is in his third season in Portugal. After impressing when he first arrived at Guimaraes, the Brazilian’s development has been held up by a series of injuries.
Now fully fit, Olhanense coach Jorge Costa will be hoping Lionn can play a big role in the club’s survival battle.
Costa guided Olhanense into the Liga Sagres last season after an absence of over three decades from the top flight, but the team have struggled to hold their own and are currently in the relegation zone.
