PortuGOAL podcast: Portugal heading to the World Cup!
Qualifying campaign overview after play-off place is assured
In a special Seleccao dedicated podcast we discuss where Portugal are at after an up and down (or should that be down and up) World Cup qualifying campaign so far.
How has Portugal coach Carlos Queiroz performed? What was the turning point in Group One? Are Real Madrid and the Portuguese Football Federation about to go to war over the utilisation of Cristiano Ronaldo?
These and other issues are analysed by Tom Kundert and Andy Brassell.

Viva Portugal!!! I know know you can make it with confidence, strength, pride and be cool!!!
I think all in all Portugal has the greatest player's in
any position to make the best team ever in the history
of the country!
Viva Portugal!!!
You guys should do a live internet radio show where callers can dial in to make comments/ask questions...
Portugal is certainly the better squad, but they cannot afford to underestimate their opponents. Especially considering we are playing the home leg first and have to get a decent lead and, most importantly, not let bosnia score.
Tom, you remind me of Keir Radnedge, I think they should get you on Sky Sports News to preview today's playoff draw!
I think the most important draw in the playoffs today is not who we get, but when.
If we play the 1st leg away it would be a big advantage to try and get an away goal and then finish things off with a big crowd back in Lisbon on the Wednesday night. It could be a tense second leg with even extra time or penalties so home advantage would be a real plus.
Going to Kiev/Ljubljana/Sarajevo/Dublin on a cold November night in front of their partizan fans (well perhaps not Ljubljana) would be a lot less intimidating in the 1st leg compared to the make-or-break 2nd leg, unless we destroy them 7-1 in Lisbon of course, ala Russia. Here's hoping...
Cheers! Forca Portugal!
