We will probably get to see Makukula in national team action in the friendlies in March. But looking at how things shaped up in the final haul of qualifying, Almedia, Edinho, or even Makukula will not see the pitch one bit unless were beating Korea to a certain extent. With the 4-3-3 or even the diamond 4-4-2 Carlos Q enjoys, Liedson will be partnered with Ronaldo and Simao. Nani could be thrown in if we are losing, and then a midfielder like Tiago or Moutinho (even though Carlos doesn't like the Sporting captain) would come in for Duda (our worst starter) as we search for a goal. It seems as though the subsitute striker role will simply be academic for Portugal.

Considering that we might have a couple of friendlies coming up in March possibly against Uruguay and Japan, we will hopefully see Makukula should he keep his current efforts up.

Carlos Carvalhal does not deserve the Sporting job he has never impressed anything at any club. He only got the job because nobody wants to take a chance with them. Andres Villa Boas of Academica was smart not to take the Sporting job.
GREAT !!!!!!
