PortuGOAL podcast: Who will lift the Liga Sagres championship?

A detailed look at the most exciting title race in years

Liga SagresThe PortuGOAL podcast is back and in our latest edition we are focussing heavily on domestic issues. Are this Benfica team the real deal? Can Braga hold on to top spot? Will FC Porto come on strong to win a fifth straight title?
 
We also analyse the reasons behind Sporting’s big improvement of late, take a peek at the European action involving Portuguese clubs and discuss the situation of several Portugal players in World Cup year.
 
Part One: As usual it’s a three-horse race in Portugal for the championship, but with the interesting nuance that it is Braga rather than Sporting doing battle with Benfica and FC Porto to lift the crown. We discuss the state of play of all four teams.
 
Part Two: A look ahead to Porto’s Champions League challenge against Arsenal and the Europa League ties where Benfica and Sporting face Hertha Berlin and Everton respectively.

Well if Porto don't win the league then I hope my boyhood hero Domingos Pacienca leads Braga to their first title.

Then he can come to manage Porto one day...

this will be benfica one year wonder. when they win the liga this year, i could see at least 5 starters leaving benfica and they will have to wait another 5-7 years to win again.

SC Braga won't drop they so I guess they are considered as contenders and they really want to make history. Benfica looks really good but next week should be very interesting Porto vs Nacional, Braga vs Sporting four of the top five will be playing each other and it could make some changes in the standings.
