Azenha appointed new Vitoria Setubal coachFormer FC Porto assistant takes over Sadinos
The 42-year-old does not have high expecations for his new team, despite coming from a winning program at Porto. Azenha is opting to take things slow and use his experience to promote cohesion within his squad. "What we will do firstly is create stability - build a house with a sufficient foundation," stated the new Setubal boss. What may have prompted Azenha to take the Setubal job was the fact that Jesualdo Ferreira was remaining at the helm at Porto, hence blocking any attempt at taking over the Dragons himself. Azenha did confess that he was in line to take over at Benfica should presidental candidate Bruno Carvalho were to be elected as the Lisbon club's new president. But decided that taking the Setubal role was the surest route. "What Mr. Bruno Carvalho said is true, but it is a big 'if'. As for me, I work with things that are concrete. What I told the Vitoria Setubal executives is that I am with Setubal 200%." by Marco Pereira Add your comment |

Vitoria Setubal have wasted little time in naming their new head coach as the club has given the position to Carlos Azenha (pictured left). The former Porto assistant takes over from interim coach Carlos Cardoso and Setubal will be the first club where Azenha is a head coach.
