Leiria sign Brazilian duo after impressive trail periodTeenagers given 5-year contracts Uniao de Leiria coach Manuel Fernandes has chosen two of the seven players he has had on trial at the club to sign long-term contracts. Brazilian duo Alberto and Hammes have put pen to paper on deals keeping them in Leiria until 2014.
Both players are aged 19 and have followed an identical path, arriving at the newly promoted Portuguese club via
Alberto is a speedy forward, while Hammes is a central defender who showed in the trial period that he also has an eye for goal.
The other five players who were observed during pre-season training, Wallace, Tchami, Mauro, Fagner and Ron Dias, will not be staying at the club.
