Manuel da Costa on target as West Ham earn crucial winWest Ham United 3-0 Stoke City Former Portugal under-21 international Manuel da Costa scored his second goal of the season to help West Ham United beat Stoke City and lift themselves out of the relegation zone.
Da Costa was restored to the Hammers starting line-up having been dropped to the bench for the recent victories over Burnley and Liverpool. The 24-year-old responded by scoring the second goal with a fine header as his side made it three successive wins in all competitions, with impressive January signing Demba Ba and Thomas Hitzlsperger getting the other goals for Avram Grant’s men. Having spent most of the season in the bottom three, back-to-back victories have now temporarily lifted West Ham up to 17th place, although the London side have just a one-point advantage over Birmingham City, who have two games in hand in 17th place. |

Yes, he was charged with gropping a woman in a nightclub in October and assaulting two others after a fight broke out. Last thing I heard was that he had a court apperance in late January. I guess everything has been cleared, or probation, because he's playing.
I also wonder if that's why he hasn't played. He started in the beggining of the season, but has been sitting since December 2nd.
West Ham is a mess, especially with their two current clown owners, Sullivan and Gold.
Bryan/SCB, would that mean that Carrico sits?
Great goal. I'm hoping WHU get relegated so Benfica can make another push for him. He's not playing enough!
Cause he can be great player!
