“Nani’s injury not serious” - Portugal doctor Henrique Jones
Bento and Ronaldo downplay significance of Turkey defeat
 There was some good news for Portugal in the immediate aftermath of a disappointing evening at the Estádio da Luz tonight. The late injury Nani picked up is not thought to be serious. Portugal doctor Henrique Jones told PortuGOAL he expects the Manchester United player to recover in time for the Selecção’s first game against Germany next week. |

Selecção undone by errors at the Luz
 Portugal’s preparations for the European Championships concluded this evening at the Estádio da Luz with a 3-1 loss to Turkey. At times the Selecção were promising, at times they were infuriating. A trio of defensive errors handed Umut Bulut a brace and Pepe an unwanted own goal, whilst Nani’s clinical finish was a rare bright spot on a night when Cristiano Ronaldo also missed a penalty. |
