Fernando Couto’s decision to agree to join India’s newly created Premier League Soccer project has resulted in what must have been a boost to his ego as he became the most expensive coach.
Former Estrela da Amadora and Vitoria Setubal coach Antonio Conceicao is back in employment. The 50-year-old has been appointed boss of Romanian club Astra Ploiesti until June 2013. It is the third top-flight club in Romania he has managed.
Jaime Pacheco has added his name to the long list of Portuguese coaches enjoying success in foreign climes. The man who memorably led Boavista to the Portuguese title in 2000/2001 was considered “coach of the year” in China having guided Beijing Guoan to the runners-up spot in his first season in charge.

Cercle Brugges beat leaders Anderlecht
Portuguese forward Rudy was once again fundamental in another victory for Belgian side Cercle Brugges. The 22-year-old scored a dramatic 90th-minute winner against leaders Anderlecht, taking his side to within three points of the table summit.
"When I left, I told the president and staff that I would like to return. Even when I was a Marseille player I frequently came to Porto. It is my wish to return, but also the club's wish."
