While it is possible that Portugal could win the Euros, it much more likely that we won't, let's be realistic now. We weren't able to win past tournaments with much more talented squads than this current one. I think qualifying from a tough group should be the only focus right now, and take one match at a time. But of course if we do qualify from such a tough group, then i will start believing more that we could go all the way. But for now it's best to be a little more realistic and not set yourselves up for major disappoinment.
My general feeling is this: that at our best we can beat anybody, as the match against Spain proved (and no that was not a friendly, it was a derby, and any team wishing to see how to beat Spain must watch that match and take lessons!)...however I feel that our defence ultimately will not be strong enough to go all the way and win the tournament. I just hope we go out there and play our natural attacking game, jogo bonito, that will be enough to satisfy me, whatever the outcome!! Perhaps going into the tournament with less expectation than in previous tournaments will actually be good for the team...
