 Portuguese-born midfielder Sergio Pinto has been in German football since the age of 12, leaving his homeland for TuS Haltern and then Schalke, where he remained for five years. Pinto then made the switch to Alemannia Aachen, before joining Hannover 96 in the summer of 2007.
