As a Benfiquista, I'll be very disappointed in the season. Yet it was a nice run in the CL, but a semi was a must. We also blew it in the league and Taca.
Mdot, I agree with the fan league perception.
My uncle, a huge Tripeiro fan, went ahead and told me Porto locked up the title after beating Benfica.
I happened to agree, but we had different reasons. I thought that 4 points were too much. He, a Porto fan, said that PdC wouldn't let happen with such few games left. That's coming from a Porto fan.
I've always stated how I understand why the "big clubs" in all of the leagues get the calls/breaks. It's economics and and what's best for the league. But outright Cheating should be abolished and the highest of punishments dealt out.
This brings us back to the point of the league having no need for expansion. It's ridiculous, since the right thing to do might just be cutting back the size of the league.
