A Real Madrid championship would have boosted CR's claim to FIFA Player of the Year. CR shook off some of the tag (it is looser) but in my opinion did not do enough to take RM through.
Bayern Munich over two legs was the better team in my opinion, more organized and dangerous. The Classico may have hurt Barca and RM. RM look tired down the stretch and did not have the PK takers left to compete against the deadly PK takers Bayern Munich put up.
Just hope what we saw today is not a sign of what is to come against Germany in the first Euro game. Portugal better shore up the defense and make sure the there is a physical midfield presence.
