I have to share the following story.
I went to Newark, NJ for dinner tonight to a Portuguese restaurant. I've been going there for many years and have gotten to know the employees. There's Sporting, Porto fans and even a Benfica fan. We were discussing the Euros and the Seleccao, when I mentioned Proenca. The Sporting fan immediately started going on and on how he's a crook. How Sporting has never once won a match that he officiated (not sure if that's true). He could never accept that Proenca was a well respected ref and just kept saying he was crooked.
It was a very funny interchange, which reminded me of many we have here on the posts.
