Tiago Gomes (August 18, 1985)
 Former Portugal under-21 international Tiago Gomes helped Alicante outfit Hercules return to the Spanish top flight in 2010 after a 13-year absence. Gomes, a Lisbon native who spent much of his youth in the Benfica academy, had arrived at Hercules the previous summer, after leaving Romanian giants Steaua Bucharest. Before departing Portugal for Romania in 2008, the midfielder had enjoyed spells with Oriental, Odivelas and Esrela da Amadora, where he spent three years, earning international recognition at youth level.
