I am proud that the team shows great unity and spirit. They haven’t been rattled in any situation and have had many chances. Ronaldo’s kick at the post was awesome. He did not once look at the goal and expertly controlled the ball. His free kick was right there also. He showed his ability by weaving in front of the defender to meet the cross and to expertly put it down with power. He is stepping it up when it matters. Lets hope he and the others continue the do so. They really out played the Czech’s and deserve the win. The fact that they have missed so many goals is actually a positive, it shows they are putting themselves in positions to score. I wish Raul and even Veloso would practice keeping their shots down. Also, Almeida should not start against Spain or France, his height is no advantage if he can’t head things in. and he is easily getting caught offside. Don’t know if Nelson is the answer or if Postiga will be back, but either way probably better than Almeida. He seems to have lost his confidence, and in the elimination stages of a tournament is not the place to find it. But if he does start, I hope he proves me wrong and scores! Over the years I have always heard the critics say how the Portuguese lose their discipline and composure in big games. It seems this team is going to change that perception.
