Perhaps encouraged by the first truly balmy night of the year in the Lisbon capital, a big crowd turned out at Alvalade to see Sporting host Braga. Although nothing was at stake for either team in terms of league position, the fans were treated to an entertaining night. A Ricky van Wolfswinkel hat-trick gave Sporting victory, but goals from Hélder Barbosa and Lima kept it interesting until the end.
