Portuguese fans tend to be the biggest pessimists ever...we start off the qualifying campaign with an away win (after disasterous starts to the last 2 campaigns) and everyone is complaining as usual. The same complaints (and people) that thought we'd get massacred at Euro 2012, just because of a freindly draw with Macedonia. We all know that when it really counts, the Selecao performs...so I'm not too worried.
Yes we should be beating Luxembourg a lot more comfortably and playing better than that. But it's early september, the season's hardly started! And I repeat again, the atmosphere for the match resembled a pre-season friendly, so all that mattered was getting 3 points. And also as Postiga correctly stated in his interview after the match...international matches are rarely easy anymore these days, and even the so-called minnows are improving all the time. Winning the match is what matters most. Many Portugal fans must stop being such whiners and pessimists and look on the bright side of things for a change.
