"I think Ronaldo and Mourinho are examples we can all follow. If we believe in ourselves and are determined we can achieve great objectives," said the agent of both men, Jorge Mendes, who received the award on behalf of Ronaldo who could not be present because of tonight's Real Madrid-Atletico Madrid derby.

As for Mourinho, the Chelsea coach said: "Normally when I receive awards I thank my own, but on this occasion I would like to dedicate the award to all the coaches and players, directors, referees, from youth levels through all levels who have played the game with passion and made the history of Portuguese football what it is."
