Benfica 2-2 Académico de Viseu
In a game played behind closed doors owing to firecrackers launched by Benfica fans onto the pitch causing disruption last season, newly promoted Académica de Viseu twice came from behind against the hosts to grab a share of the points in Lisbon.
Vangelis Pavlidis kept up his fine start to the season with an excellent finish after 10 minutes to give the Eagles the lead, and both the Greek striker and Gianluca Prestianni hit the woodword as Benfica continued to boss the match.
But upon the restart Rúben Pereira headed in a corner to make it 1-1, only for Presitanni to restore Benfica's lead with an excellent solo goal.
But back came Académico, with star striker André Clóvis sweeping in an equaliser in 67th minute to grab a surprise point for the visitors.
