Youssef Chermiti enjoyed his best moment in a Rangers shirt so far this weekend, with the former Sporting forward scoring a brace as his side came from behind to beat fierce rivals Celtic 3-1 in the Old Firm Derby.

Victory in the famous Scottish clash sees Rangers draw level on points with their city enemies, albeit both sides now trail surprise leaders Hearts – inspired by the goals of Claudio Braga – at the top of the SPL. Chermiti’s brace means the 21-year-old now has four goals for the Gers this term.

Leão gives Milan win

AC Milan ran out 1-0 winners at Cagliari in Serie A thanks to Rafael Leão’s strike early in the second half. Leão finished well with his left foot to give the Rossoneri all three points and ensure they remain in 2nd place in the table, just a point off neighbours Internazionale at the top. After the match, Leão admitted he is expecting himself to score more goals.

“The team is in a good period of form and we’re happy. I feel that if I have two or three scoring opportunities, I have to score two goals,” he said. “The coach is putting me closer to the net, I need to sense the goal more, and also thank the squad for putting me in a condition to score.”

Guedes makes it 4 from 8 in La Liga

Goncalo Guedes earned Real Sociedad a point in a 1-1 home draw against Atletico Madrid in Spain. Guedes equalised in the second half for his side to make it four goals in his last eight appearances in La Liga, which is impressive form given Sociedad continue to struggle amid a five-match winless run.

Neto finding the net with Elche

Former Benfica academy prospect Martim Neto, who spent time on loan with Gil Vicente and Rio Ave, has found himself a surprise goal threat in La Liga of late. The 22-year-old scored a beautifully-taken goal for Elche in their 3-1 home defeat to Villarreal, adding to his strike in happier circumstances during a 4-1 win over Ray Vallecano before Christmas.
